The Ornament Workshop

Kids and adults designed custom ornaments and watched a laser etcher turn them into objects they could carry home.

By Charles Dill

The Valley was packed, the laser ran nonstop, and both kids and adults walked out with custom ornaments ready for the tree.

Families dropped in, picked a design with help from our very industrious “elves,” and watched it get zapped into existence by our laser etcher. Kids got a front-row seat to modern manufacturing. And left with a memory to hang for years.

Thanks to everyone who joined us!
And a huge thank you to the Cambridge CCS National Honor Society students who volunteered.
