Solving the Community Calendar Problem

A neighbor's effort to make local events easier to find, and what it could mean for our region.

A neighbor's effort to make local events easier to find, and what it could mean for our region.

Local events are easy to miss, even when they are happening one town over. The groups doing the work need better turnout, and neighbors need a simpler way to find what is worth showing up for.

Michael Ammaturo built VerYorkachusetts as a regional calendar for nearby towns. We will talk about what he has learned, where information still breaks down, and how small communities can share it more effectively.

This is not a technology pitch. It is a conversation about connection, attendance, and building a useful local tool for everyone involved.

20-minute talk. 40-minute discussion.
